Best Sunset Spots in Myrtle Beach
Best Sunset Spots in Myrtle Beach
The places where everything slows down just enough to notice it.
Sunset changes everything.
The light softens. The air feels different. The day slows down whether you planned it or not.
These are the kinds of spots I come back to when I want the evening to feel a little more memorable.
Where the Sunset Looks Best
Sunsets in Myrtle Beach are a little different.
On the ocean, you get soft colors and open sky.
Along the marsh and the Intracoastal Waterway, the light reflects off the water — and that’s where it really comes alive.
Both are worth it. Just different.
A Quiet Beach Walk
This is still one of my favorite ways to end the day.
No plan. No crowds. Just walking the shoreline as the light fades.
You really do not need anything else.
Myrtle Beach State Park
If I want something quieter, this is one of the first places I think about.
Wide beach. Natural dunes. Fewer people.
The kind of place where you can just walk and let the evening happen.
Murrells Inlet — MarshWalk
If I want a sunset spot with a little more energy, this is it.
Sunset over the marsh, string lights starting to glow, and the water reflecting everything.
It’s one of those places where it’s easy to stay longer than you meant to.
From Your Balcony
This is one of the simplest parts of staying oceanfront.
You won’t see the sun drop over the ocean here.
But you will get the colors.
The sky softens, the water reflects it, and everything feels a little quieter.
Sometimes that’s even better.
Kindred Spirit Walk
This one feels different from everything else.
If I want something quieter and a little more meaningful, this is where I’d go.
The walk out is quiet. The dunes, the path, the distance from everything else.
It does take a little planning.
Sunset Beach is about an 40 minutes north, but the trip is worth it.
If you want to make it a full evening, start with an early dinner at Oak & Palm, then head out toward the Kindred Spirit Mailbox as the light starts to fade.
By the time you get there, everything has slowed down.
Anywhere You Stop
The truth is, you don’t always need the perfect spot.
You just need the right moment.
Myrtle Beach gives you more of those than people expect.
